Shanghai 30s: money reigns supreme and corruption is everywhere in this city whose sulfurous reputation attracts the daring of the whole world. Albert Londres, the great reporter, is in Shanghai in 1924 for a big report on China. In 1932, an armed conflict unleashed by Japan served as a prelude to a redistribution of the cards. We then find Albert Londres to investigate the upheavals in progress and whose mysterious investigation will go up in smoke in the fire of the ship that brings him back to France. Following the dizzying ascent of Du Yuesheng in Shanghai, the godfather of the Green Band, we are going to delve into the thousand faces of this city of money, drugs, games and pleasures. Unpublished Chinese archives, private archives, fiction films, period newspapers, police reports, etc.
