"I Wish I Knew" - Part II
In a break from our usual Study Group programming due to the summer vacation, we will be screening and discussing Jia Zhangke's "I Wish I Knew". This film tells the history of Shanghai from 1930 through to the present through the stories of people who were living here. It includes interviews of 18 individuals from different backgrounds. They include stories of rebels and revolution, soldiers and war, gangsters and assassination, artists and romance.
Entrance: RMB 20 (RAS members) and RMB 50 (non-members) those unable to make the donation but wishing to attend may contact us for exemption, prior to the RAS Lecture Series. Membership applications and membership renewals will be available at these events.
